| Abstract: The concentration of short life descendants, especially the RaA and Ra C’, is still an area of great interest even after
more than 100 years since the discovery of radioactive gas emitted by radon, and the first systematic measurements of the atmospheric radon were taken. Almost half of radiation poisoning of the human body is due to radon inhalation. For this reason, we cannot ignore this component in the air, which once absorbed by our bodies will start to lose its energy in irreversible reactions, resulting in negative effects on our own health. All these reasons brought worldwide attention to the critical level of the radon concentration in the atmosphere, and the possibility of stopping its increase. This work presents the synthesis of a number of measurements taken in different locations in order to analyze the presence and time evolution of radon sources, and the factors that diminish their natural concentration. |
