| Abstract: In the last years, the severe meteorological phenomena, Moldavia included, have increased significantly in intesity, reaching here and there certain thresholds difficult to accept a couple of years ago. Among them we may count particularly heavy
rainfalls recorded in the last 5 years, respectively in: july-august 2004, july 2005 and july 2008. The present paper proposes an analysis of the synoptic context where the phenomenon of the mentioned period took place, with reference to the Moldavia area,
particularly in Iasi county. |
