| Abstract: The aim of this paper is to methodically explain the synaptic transmission to students who are studying biophysics and medical physics, by pointing out all the important events, which took place in case of chemical transmission. Each event can be visualized step by step, and so, the complex mechanism of synaptic transmission is well understood. Synaptic transmission is a particularly case of information transmission between two adjacent cells, and can be triggered in two different ways: chemical or electronic. We refer to the chemical transmission, its events and its possible applications in pharmaceutics industry. Each event is fully didactically explained and schematically illustrated for the best understanding. |
