Abstract: Phase transitions studies of metallic spin glasses wires (MSGW) are of interest because such wires have many applications in
magnetic sensors devices. Both the amorphouscrystalline
and magnetic phase changes of some MGW were studied using
isochronal and isothermal heating. Two types of MSGW were considered, namely Co 72.5 Si
12.5 B
15 and Fe 40 Ni
40 B
10 P
10 , with
negative and positive magnetostriction, respectively. The crystallization kinetics were examined by electrical resistance
measurements. The crystallization temperature and Curie were determined. We obtained also information about the phase
transitions occurring in MSGW by studying the evolution of magnetic susceptibility and magnetic hysteresis curves subsequent
to thermal treatment. |
