| Abstract: Spectral assay upon the hemolytic effect induced by static magnetic fields in erythrocytes is shaped in the frame
of this laboratory experiment for master students in Medical Physics and Biophysics. In vitro acute and chronic magnetic
exposures of animal blood samples are performed using permanent magnets of various magnetic induction values.
Electronic absorption spectra are recorded for hemolysed blood, the modifications of the spectral bands being discussed.
The hemolysis extent is determined by spectrophotometric measurements from the absorption band of hemoglobin.
ANOVA test is applied to evidence the statistic significance of the differences between the exposed samples and control
ones. |
