| Abstract: Total Skin Electron Therapy (TSET), which suppose the irradiation of the entire skin surface with electrons having
relatively low energies (~ 4 MeV), is one of the most sophisticated technique in the modern radiotherapy, used in the
treatment of some severe forms of cutaneous lymphomas: mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sézary syndrome (SS). This work,
organized like a short review, describes the main techniques and dosimetry procedures for TSET. Finally, the possibility to
implement this technique at the “Sf. Spiridon” University Hospital Iasi is discussed. |
