| Abstract: This paper presents results on the study of an atmosphericpressure
dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) and the
DBDsurface
modification of a polymer material, focussing on the relation between the discharge parameters, the
experimental configuration and the enhancement of the surface adhesion properties. The surface analysis was performed
by contact angle measurement, to evaluate the area of the surface covered by the discharge and the level of surface
modification. The discharge was characterised by electrical parameters measurement, to have information on the
discharge energy. The parameters of the high voltage pulse and the interelectrode
gap were thus selected for optimum
surface treatment. |
