| Abstract: The work presents the advantages of the utilization of the polarizing filters in the technical photographic.
The natural light which comes directly from the source of light isn't polarized, in exchange the reflected light is partially polarized. The polarizing filter is useful to cancel the unwanted reflections caused by water or glass.
The work answers a series of questions such as:
What is the polarizing filter?
Where do we find polarized light in nature?
What are the types of filters used in technical photographic?
Images realized with polarizing filters and without them are being compared. The effects of the filters are being analyzed in order to find the differences between this technical photographic and the ones of the editing programs.
The subject of the work is taking part of the curriculum of the optional "Photography - science and art" (Fotografia stiinta si arta) scheduled on a period of one year, one class per week.
The pictures have been realized with Olympus 410 camera.
A circular polarizing filter Fomei and a linear polarizing filter Cokin has been adapted to this instrument. |
