| Abstract: This paper presents a study on the absorption electronic spectrum of chlorofile. The UVVIS
spectrum allowed
identification of the electronic bands. Taking into account that an important factor influencing the energetic levels of
atoms and molecules is the dispersion environment, the modification of the band profile and maxima wavelength were
also analyzed, as a function of the solvent molecules polarity. The interaction between electric dipole moments of the
solvated and solvent molecular species determines the energy levels shift, as rendered to evidence in the electronic
spectrum. |
