| Abstract: Significant advances of ultrasonic applications in medicine and biology are based on the data reffering to the mode of ultrasound propagation through mammalian tissues [1,5]. Important information about anatomic functions of the tissues, their disfunctions or the presence of foreign bodies or tumours can be obtained using physical parameters characterising the ultrasound propagation in the tissues. Realising more precise and extensive measurements of physical parameters for US traveling through the mammalian tissues, one could made important generalization on the acoustic characteristics of living matter. For the students in Medical Sciences or in Biophysics, that will use echographic techniques in different purposes, the knowledges on the phenomena appearing in ultrasound propagation through mammalian tissues are very important. |
