Abstract: Introduction- The cell is the basic source of all bioelectric potentials that exist across the cell wall or membrane. Experimental investigation with microelectrodes has shown that the internal resting potential within a cell is approximately -90 mV with reference to the outside of the cell. Purposes—of this report is to simulate a cell membrane by an electrical circuit that will help the students to understand better what happens in the cell membrane. Materials and methods—we made an electrical circuit which connected to an oscilloscope shows the form of external action potential of the cell membrane. Results—the electrical circuit is made didactical way that succeeds to show the form of external action potential. Conclusion—this experiment is the easiest way for the interested students to learn about the actions that take place in a cell membrane. |
