| Abstract: Computed tomography (CT) is considered the first non-invasive radiological method allowing the generation of crosssectional images of a selected part of the body. Emission Computed Tomography is a very useful tool for investigating the cognitive functions. Because of the low radiation doses associated with Positron Emission Tomography (PET), it has been applied in clinical research, allowing the direct study of neurological disease. By using different image processing programs (ImageJ, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, Origin, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) we can analyze the PET images of the active human brain. |
