Abstract: The paper deals with nine real experiments performed during 9th-grade Physics lessons in the Physics laboratory and consists of three main parts. Three of the nine experiments stimulate deep cognitive processes. The first part covers the experiments performed by the students, in which equilibrium of forces is employed, the second one presents experiments in which energy transforms or is used up in the form of mechanical work of the friction force, and in the third part there are experiments in which force moment is applied. Each of the three parts contains taught notions, lessons in which the students acquire teamwork competences, knowledge check moments or revision and a new, less common experimental problem that stimulates and develops deep thinking processes such as deduction or particularization, planning-anticipation and analogy starting from the effect. The paper points out the role of experiments in developing scientific thought and is addressed to young teachers or fresh alumni approaching a teaching career.
