Titlu: Program Java pentru rezolvarea numerică a ecuaţiei Schrodinger unidimensionale

Abstract: The aim of this work is to promote the use of Java language for scientific computing. First we present the advantages of using Java instead other computing languages and then we solve the unidimensional Schrodinger equation using bisection method, Numerov algorithm and PtPlot scientific graphical library [3]. The Java program solve the differential equation in the case of a particle in a square well potential and plots the wave function and the density of probability. We think that our program can be use with good results in high schools or college. This paper is part of our collaboration with Physics Department of Oregon State University, USA concerning the Computational Physics for Undergraduates program [1], [2].
