| Abstract: This paper presents a study on the emission spectra of inert gases, in the visible range of the electromagnetic
spectrum, using qualitative spectroscopy method. The studied gases are helium, argon, neon and krypton. The emission
lines, detected with a spectroscope, which is calibrated using a standard spectrum, are compared to the lines listed in an
atomic spectra database. Photographs of the spectra are also shown. |
